Müasir dövrdə yalnız daxili imkanlarla iqtisadi inkişafa nail olmaq mümkünsüzdür. Ölkəyə xarici investisiyanın cəlb edilməsi iqtisadiyyatın inkişafında çox vacibdir. Son illərin təcrübəsi göstərir ki, Azərbaycanda neft gəlirlərinin artması qeyri-neft sahələrinin inkişaf etdirilməsi sahəsində uzunmüddətli tədbirlərin həyata keçirilməsinə şərait yaratmışdır. Qeyri-neft sahəsində investisiya qoyuluşlarının həcmi artaraq iqtisadiyyatın canlanmasına səbəb olmuşdur. Uğurla həyata keçirilən genişmiqyaslı sosial-iqtisadi islahatlar nəticəsində milli iqtisadiyyatımızda olduqca mühüm dəyişiklər baş vermişdir.
Ölkə iqtisadiyyatının inkişaf etdirilməsində investisyaların cəlb edilməsi və onlardan səmərəli istifadə olunması vacib amillərdən biridir. Deməli, Azərbaycanda investisiya cəlb edilməsi üzrə müəyyən bir modelin formalaşdırılması və xarici investisiya qoyuluşlarının prioritet istiqamətlərinin müəyənləşdirilməsi aktual məsələyə çevrilmişdir.

Priority directions of foreign investments in the formation of the national economy
Abstract
In modern times, it is impossible to achieve economic development only with domestic opportunities. Attracting foreign investment to the country is very important in the development of the economy. The experience of recent years shows that the increase in oil revenues in Azerbaijan has created conditions for the implementation of long-term measures in the field of development of non-oil fields. The volume of investments in the non-oil sector has increased and led to the revival of the economy. As a result of successfully implemented large-scale socio-economic reforms, significant changes have taken place in our national economy.
Attraction of investments and their effective use is one of the important factors in the development of the country's economy. So, the formation of a certain model of attracting investment in Azerbaijan and the definition of priority directions of foreign investment has become an urgent issue.
