Ethnotoponyms of turkish origin in the language of the ancient Iver chronicle
Summary
The ancient Iberian chronicle was found in the valley of Lake Van. The author of the chronicle isn't known. The first copy of the chronicle was obtained during World War I. When Tsarist Russian troops occupied Eastern Anatolia, Caucasian scholars brought many church chronicles from Turkey to Tbilissi including the Ancient Iberian Chronicle.
At that period, research on the chronicle began. It was defined that the language of the chronicle was a completely different language from Georgian.
