Study of Morphofunctional Characteristics in Preschool and School-Age (4–5–6 And 7 Years) Children
Abstract
This article comprehensively examines the impact of systematic participation in football on the biological development patterns of preschool and school-age (6–7 years) children. The main objective of the study was to scientifically determine the influence of sports activity in early childhood on children’s physical, functional, and morphofunctional indicators. For this purpose, children’s anthropometric measurements, level of physical fitness, and functional capacities of the organism were analyzed comparatively.
Within the framework of the pedagogical experiment, experimental and control groups were formed, and a football training program designed in accordance with age characteristics was implemented over a specific period of time. During the training process, the volume and intensity of physical load were gradually increased, while safety and health factors were considered top priorities. Throughout the study, indicators such as height, weight, body mass index, chest circumference, lung capacity, heart rate, and physical working capacity were regularly measured.
The obtained results demonstrated that children who regularly participated in football showed strengthening of the musculoskeletal system, increased muscle strength, and improved overall endurance. Positive dynamics were also observed in the functional indicators of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. The development of key physical qualities such as coordination, agility, and speed was particularly noticeable.
The analysis of morphofunctional characteristics proved that properly planned football training based on scientific principles does not disrupt the natural biological development process of children; on the contrary, it supports it harmoniously. Thus, the conducted pedagogical experiment showed that football activity at an early age makes a significant contribution to healthy physical development, the expansion of functional capacities, and the formation of future athletic potential.
